Responsible investing: challenges and opportunities for sustainable strategic management in the global context

This paper examines the emerging relationship between responsible investment and sustainable strategic management. It argues that responsible investment has a mixed track record in accelerating the business sector generally and the banking and financial services sector specifically toward greater sustainable strategic management practices and that the future 'success' of responsible investment in the global context is likely to depend on what degree it is able to become mainstreamed as a business concept in the emerging and developing economies.
