Synthesis and application of TiO2 amorphous nanoparticles as an IR detector
Abstract
Nanostructure TiO2 was prepared in the form of sol-gel by a hydrolysis process and fast-quenching method. The prepared sample characterised by different techniques. It was found that the particles have nano-amorphous structure. Due to fast-quenching effect, the fabricated sample at such annealing treatment has many oxygen vacancies. The measured band gap found to be 1.2 eV, which has strong transmittance in vis-NIR region. The photocurrent measurement using capacitance probe method of a black body radiation and few wavelengths at NIR showed good sensibility. The ratio of signal to noise under 100 V bias voltage at room temperature was 2:1.
