Sensor and sensorless speed control of doubly-fed induction machine
Abstract
In this paper, the behaviour of doubly-fed induction machine operating in motor mode is studied. The proposed system consists of a doubly-fed induction machine with a stator connected directly to AC current and the wound rotor supplied from the pulse-width modulation voltage inverter. To ensure the control of torque and flux separately due to the problem induced by the presence of coupling between these two variables, the indirect field-oriented control is used. Furthermore, in this work sensor and sensorless control for doubly-fed induction machine is studied through a comparison of the proportional integral controller and the observer method based on Kalman filter. The obtained simulation results show the effectiveness, feasibility and robustness of the proposed control approach under different operating conditions.
